Rebecca is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who specialises in grief.

Rebecca works in private practice at the London Counselling & therapy directory with locations in Kensington, Clapham and Croydon. She has an Advanced Diploma in counselling and CBT and is accredited by the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (ABCAP) as well as a member of Association for Counsellors and Therapists Online (ACTO).

Clients will feel at ease when opening up and asking for help in Rebecca McKenzie’s compassionate, encouraging environment.

Though therapy can concentrate on helping her clients reach their full potential, she feels confident that counselling can also support clients in processing challenging or painful thoughts and emotions. When it comes to helping her clients identify and utilise their inner resources, Rebecca enjoys being creative.

In order to better serve her clients, Rebecca prefers to take a solution-focused approach, which allows her to utilise a variety of working methods.

To help clients manage their grief more healthily, Rebecca may employ Transactional Analysis, CBT, and mindfulness to help control anxious reactions. She approaches a personalised course of action in a unique way.

Rebecca is a psychological fiction writer. In addition to writing stories, Rebecca recognises the value of connection in her work as a counsellor. She believes that for therapy to be effective, the client must experience that connection. She seeks to discover more healthful approaches to grieving and the effects of emotions. In addition, she specialises in bereavement and suicide prevention, with a focus on eating disorders.
